Welcome to the Faculty-In-Residence Program!

The Faculty-in-Residence (FiR) Program at the University of Connecticut - Storrs is sponsored by the Department of Residential Life. This program is designed to expand opportunities for students and faculty to interact outside of the classroom in meaningful and enriching ways. Student life is enhanced by the ability of Residential Life staff and the Faculty-in-Residence to collectively incorporate the values of academic life into the on-campus housing experience. Ultimately, the Faculty-in-Residence (FiR) Program at the University of Connecticut - Storrs:

contributes to the growth of a housing community
expands student and faculty interaction outside of the classroom
provides residents with a role model, educator, and leader that lives on-campus.
